eGENTING WorldCard FAQ

About Membership

1. What is the difference between an eGENTING Membership and eGENTING WorldCard Membership?

eGENTING Members are just virtual members that has registered online with www.genting.com.my. eGENTING WorldCard Members on the other hand are both our virtual and physical card members, also registered online. This membership comes with a physical card (your eGENTING WorldCard) and has more benefits and privileges besides enjoying existing WorldCard benefits (http://www.worldcard.com.my/GWC/privileges/benefits.aspx)


2. What if I am already a Genting WorldCard Member and am interested in becoming an eGENTING WorldCard member. Do I still need to sign up as an eGENTING Member to enjoy the offers and eActivities?

Yes. You will need to update your profile to become an eGENTING member first so that we can recognize your membership and give you access to these activities and offers. All you need to do is to click on the edit Profile. This is also to enable Prize redemptions later on as we will be sending the Prize Letters by Post Mail to your latest mailing address.


3. Are there any differences in benefits between memberships?

Yes. eGENTING Members will only have access to a limited number of eContest and Room Promotions with our regular FIT rates. eGENTING WorldCard Members on the other hand will enjoy eGENTING member's benefits, Genting WorldCard Benefits and exclusive promotions and activities online.


4. I am already an existing WorldCard Member. If I sign up, will I receive my physical eGENTING WorldCard as well?

No. All existing WorldCard members will not be given a new card as each member can only have one physical WorldCard. You only need to update your profile and password/6 digit pin number to activate your eGENTING WorldCard Membership to enjoy the extra benefits.

 

About Signing-up

1. Can I sign up elsewhere besides doing it online?

No, you have to sign-up online as you need to provide a log-in ID and your password/pin number. We can't do it for you as this is suppose to be confidential. There will be occasions when we request potential members to fill-up a form offline, especially during special road-shows or promotions. In that circumstances, we will automate these membership and send them an e-mail requesting them to change their passwords and log-in IDs.


2. I keep getting an error message whenever I attempt to sign-up online. What should I do?

In the event you are unable to access the sign-up page, or you keep getting the error page, then send us an e-mail highlighting the error message. All e-mails should be re-directed here (gttoh@genting.com.my)


3. Do I become an eGENTING WorldCard Member immediately after submitting my online application?

After a successful submission online (you will be prompted a message to indicate if your submission was successful), you automatically become an eGENTING Member. However, if you are also applying for the eGENTING WorldCard Membership, then your application will also be sent to WorldCard for processing. Approval should take about 2 (two) days, and your eGENTING WorldCard will be sent to you via post mail within 3 to 4 weeks.

 

Contest and Special Promotion eligibility

1. I just signed up as an eGENTING WorldCard Member. Why can't I access the member's special promotion booking page?

If you have just signed-up as a new eGENTING WorldCard Member, you will need to wait for your WorldCard approvable before the system can recognize your WorldCard Membership. But you should be able to do some reservations and join in on the online activity immediately. An automatic e-mail will be generated to inform you of your application status 2 working days after the date of your submission.


2. How will eGENTING WorldCard Members get access to their special promotions?

Besides regularly checking with www.genting.com.my, members will also be sent special eNews informing them of exclusive offers and promotions. Such offers are only given to members via special link not available in the website.
